19 Apr 425 Smiles Event
In partnership with the UW School of Dentistry and PMI Dental Hygiene Program, along with sponsors Delta Dental, Columbia Bank, Burkhart Dental Supply, and Henry Schein Dental, 425 Dental proudly hosted 425 Smiles on Saturday, April 16, 2022. The event saw dental students, faculty, and professionals come together to volunteer their time and provide free dental care to members of the Issaquah and surrounding communities in need.
Throughout the course of the day, nearly 60 patients were provided routine and restorative dental care at no charge. This included multiple care options, including cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, emergency care and more. Student volunteers from the UW School of Dentistry, PMI Dental Hygiene Program, and surrounding schools were also able to get hands-on experience in a real clinical setting.
“Many thanks to all of our sponsors and all of our volunteers who made 425 Smiles such an overwhelmingly positive event this year. We are so happy with the turnout, and even more so to have had the opportunity to assist so many of our neighbors in the community,” said Dr. Oleg, Founder of 425 Dental. “We’re so proud to have offered so many types of dental care at no cost, and we’re looking forward to continuing this event and helping even more people.”
“The turnout for 425 Smiles this year exceeded our expectations, and everyone at 425 Dental was thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside so many volunteers to make this a special day for everyone,” said Glis Aguilar, Support Dental Assistant at 425 Dental and co-organizer of 425 Smiles. “We’re looking forward to continuing this event and helping even more people.”
Patients seen may visit the PMI Dental Hygiene Program’s clinic for complementary follow-up deep cleanings after the event. Because only a limited number of patients were able to be seen throughout the day, 425 Dental will proudly be hosting 425 Smiles again in Fall 2022. Those interested in signing up for dental care or volunteering at the event should look out for more information in the near future.
