27 Jul Dr. Oleg and Dr. Nikole Help Holocaust Survivors receive dental care
For anyone who has met Dr. Oleg and Dr. Nikole, you likely picked up on their passion for and involvement in helping the community. With putting in extensive volunteer hours at a whole host of non-profit organizations, we are still trying to unlock the secret of how they find time to do it all.
While their passion for community service is apparent, what many of you may not know, is Dr. Oleg and Dr. Nikole’s commitment specifically towards helping Holocaust survivors receive appropriate dental care. A large majority of Holocaust survivors live in poverty, making it extremely difficult or impossible for them to receive the oral care that they so desperately need to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
That’s why starting in 2014 Dr. Oleg and Dr. Nikole, in partnership with Henry Schein, Inc. and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, responded to the White House’s call to action to help this underserved population. In search of a solution, the aforementioned groups created the Alpha Omega-Henry Schein Cares Holocaust Survivors Oral Health Program, which is a three-year pilot program designed to provide pro-bono dental care to the survivors of Nazi persecution.
We’re excited to say that the program is on track for expansion and looking to add additional U.S. cities to its list of supporters. We could not be more proud that our own doctors are contributing members to such an important cause!
