13 Mar 425 Dental to Host Kids Free Dental Day in May
Issaquah, WA – Together with the University of Washington School of Dentistry, 425 Dental will be hosting a “Kids Free Dental Day” for families in need on Saturday, May 16th from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM at its practice at 710 NW Juniper Street, Suite 101 Issaquah, WA 98027.
The Kids Free Dental Day is offered to children between the ages of one and 18 and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. 425 Dental staff and UW Husky Smiles students will provide dental screenings, cleanings, fillings, fluoride varnish, and sealants, along with dental supplies to families in need.
425 Dental is committed to improving the dental and overall health of their community. This sentiment has been picked up by one of 425 Dental’s dental assistants, Alex Choe, an incoming dental student who is organizing 425 Dental’s Kids Free Dental Day for the second year. During last year’s inaugural event, 425 Dental distributed roughly $25k worth of dental care to families in need.
“Our mission at 425 Dental is to enhance the oral and overall health in our community,” said Dr. Oleg Shvartsur, founder of 425 Dental. “We participate in helping U.S. Veterans, Holocaust survivors, and Peace Corps volunteers. This event is yet another avenue to provide help in our community.”
In addition to aiding and connecting with the community, this event gives dental students from the University of Washington School of Dentistry a chance to gain meaningful dental experience, including patient interaction, business management, and community relations.
To manage the large number of people the clinic is expected to draw, volunteer staff will compile a waiting list and organize patient treatments according to the list. For more information regarding the Kids Free Dental Day, please call (206)-399-1393.
