08 Dec Our favorite holiday traditions (+ giveaway)

Can you believe we’re nearing the end of 2015? We certainly can’t! It’s been a fun-filled year at our office with exciting developments coming in 2016 (more details on those updates later!). But, before we get ahead of ourselves and jump to the New Year, we’d like to focus a little bit of time on enjoying the holidays.

One of the best parts of this time of year are the traditions we create with our families. In case you’re looking for some new holiday traditions to start this year, we thought we’d share some of our own to provide you with a bit of inspiration and holiday cheer!

Here are some of our team’s favorite holiday festivities:

Dr. Oleg & Dr. Nikole – “Every year we look forward to going to the Christmas tree farm, picking out our tree and cutting it down ourselves.  It’s a fun tradition that now our son can be involved with as well, other than his usual of pulling off the ornaments and messing with the Christmas tree lights. This year we will be visiting a new tree farm, McLean Christmas Tree Farm, which our recently retired team member, Debbie, now owns and operates.  We are very much looking forward to seeing her as an extra holiday bonus!  We also host a big dinner on Christmas Eve for both of our families and it’s always a lot of fun to get together and have our annual Costco prime rib.  This year we are hoping for some snow so Sammy can experience that for the first time. We already have his snow mittens ready!”

Rebecca – “Every Christmas Eve we bake cookies for Santa and sleep under the tree.”

Keeley – “I get up early Christmas morning to have breakfast ready for the boys when they wake up.”

Taylor – “We always open pajamas and one present on Christmas Eve!”

Katie – “When we were young, my siblings and I always watched ‘The Christmas Story’ every year.”

Drew – “In my family, my dad likes to wear his red underwear on his head instead of a Santa hat.”

Stefanie – “The holiday tradition in my family is to make caramel apples for friends and family!”

Lisa – “Every year we like to head out and cut down a Christmas tree.”
